I like the CD sleeve very much, though I wouldn’t call all the colours primary colours: the turquoise, the greens, the orange – they’re a bit more sophisticated that pure primaries – very bold & effective.

I third that. And did you see the preview of the London Olympics at the end of the Beijing ones? How did they describe it? “Fun” & “upbeat” – something like that. It was pathetic. What a waste of money in these economically-straitened times.

I love this picture. Is this one of your illustrations? I’m also a big fan of Sasek – I had “This is London” as a kid, & I’ve collected more of the series in recent years. I found your blog through a Google search for Sasek images.

I haven’t been to London for ages, as health problems make travel difficult, but I used to love seeing the Christmas decorations. I really enjoyed seeing your photos of the 2007 decorations (even though it’s the wrong season now). Thanks for sharing them – I hope you’ll take some in future years.

Harsh. This happened to us one Christmas a few years ago. It was bloody freezing. And boring. No telly. No internet. Had to read by candlelight, like a 14th century monk.
